Frequantly asked questions

How do I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by either selecting your chosen therapist and contacting them directly via their email, contact form or mobile telephone number. Alternatively, you can contact us by emailing or calling 01252 918930.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. All of our therapists adhere to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Ethical Framework. There are some very rare exceptions which may require your therapist to break confidentiality for example, if you express a serious wish to harm yourself or others. Confidentiality is explained in detail within a document that will be provided to you and discussed within your first appointment.

How long does therapy last?

This depends on you and how long you would like therapy to last for. Many people find it helpful to arrange six weekly sessions and then review their progress with their therapist.

How often should I attend therapy?

Usually people attend therapy weekly. However, if you feel you’d like to attend more/less frequently, this can usually be arranged within your initial appointment.

Is your practice regulated and insured?

Yes. All our qualified counsellors are fully insured and registered with the Information Commissions Office. Our team are all members of The British Association for counselling and psychotherapy which provides the therapist with an ethical framework and a complaints procedure for clients.
